Red Cross closes shelter set up after fatal I-81 bus crash in Dauphin County

The Red Cross has closed the reception center it set up to handle many of the passengers involved in the bus crash late Sunday evening on I-81 in Dauphin County.

The reception center assisted 25 people who were involved in the crash. Volunteers provided “refreshments and emotional support,” a press release said. Three other patients were being evaluated and treated in the hospital’s emergency department. By Monday evening, 22 people have been discharged.UPMC Community Osteopathic treated 21 patients from the crash. Officials said 20 patients were treated and released. One adult remains hospitalized.at mile marker 74 in Lower Paxton Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
