Reacher season 2 gets a villain fix.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Reacher season 2 will introduce a new set of villains into Amazon's TV show, and this already fixes one existing flaw with the Alan Ritchson-fronted adaptation. Whereas Reacher began by covering the first of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels, Killing Floor, season 2 will skip right ahead to book 11, Bad Luck & Trouble.
The Kliners Weren't Great Villains In Reacher Season 1 In Reacher season 1, the Kliner family and Mayor Teale succeeded as thoroughly unlikeable villains that encouraged the audience to root for Ritchson's hero every step of the way. However, they never truly felt like a realistic threat to the indomitable intellect and brute force of Jack Reacher.
At no point during his stint in Margrave did Jack Reacher even feel in real trouble. His military experience and natural talents meant Margave's muckiest miscreants were never a match for Amazon's hero, and whenever Reacher got serious, that difference shone through. Nowhere was this mismatch more obvious than during Reacher season 1's final battle, in which Jack and his friends took down an entire warehouse of Kliner goons with relative ease.
That puts a completely different complexion on Amazon's live-action adaptation. Jack Reacher always seemed one or two steps ahead of the Kliners - able to either outsmart them or beat them to a pulp as he pleased. His next foes will be less amenable, especially the elusive, ghost-like figure known as A.M.
