RCMP collaborated with Edmonton police to seize more than 10 kilograms of fentanyl and arrest a wanted Saskatchewan man, Mounties say.

At about 10 p.m. on Nov. 3, RCMP patrolling in Edmonton saw a male suspect exit a trailer, place bags in a vehicle and depart with the cargo before officers stopped the vehicle at Whyte Avenue and 105 Street and found the man they were looking for in the back seat, Mounties said.Article content RCMP Supt. Glenn Church, who leads the Mounties’ enforcement response team in Saskatchewan, said the drugs could have reached people in both Prairie provinces.

Police have charged 42-year-old Kurt Miller of Brownlee, Sask., with three offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of equipment for use in the production of a substance.
