RCMP say driver returned to the scene after fleeing
Police say a 10-year-old girl has died after being hit by a vehicle in northern Manitoba.
RCMP say the girl was with another child on Friday when they crossed a road in the community of Norway House and the girl was hit by an SUV.They say the driver then fled but later came back and turned herself into police.A 28-year-old woman is to appear in court May 4 on a charge of failing to stop after an accident.
Police say alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision and officers continue to investigate.
