Three Cuyahoga County school districts are among the top four in Ohio for school report card test scores
Solon school district tops the list statewide for 2022 school report card performance index scores.. CLEVELAND, Ohio - Students in Solon tested better than any other public school district in the state, according to the performance index component of the 2023 Ohio school report cards released Thursday.The Marion district in western Ohio’s Mercer County was second at 110.8, followed by two more Cuyahoga County districts.
The performance index represents whether student performance on state tests met established thresholds and how well students performed on tests overall, according to the Ohio Department of Education. This is based on state tests for third grade through high school. The 2022-2023 scores ranged from 45.3 to 111.6. More than 80% of districts increased their performance index score from the year before. The biggest increases were in Conotton Valley Union in Harrison County , Fairport Harbor in Lake County and Paint Valley in Ross County .
