Rams’ Von Miller is living his Super Bowl present by remembering his past, listening to Future | DavidMooreDMN
The former DeSoto High School and Texas A&M star is preaching positivity ahead of his second Super Bowl appearance.
“It brings me back to what I was thinking, where I was at that point in time and in my life,’’ Miller said. “I listen to the whole album from start to finish, from ‘Ain’t No Time’ to ‘Xanny Family’ to ‘Program.’Miller was the catalyst for Denver’s victory in Super Bowl 50. The former DeSoto High School and Texas A&M star had two-and-a-half sacks, forced two fumbles and was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
“Like Kawhi Leonard , I’m a fun guy. I like to have positive energy. I like to have a good time. I like to be around people in the locker room.’’ “I’m an entertainer,’’ he said. “I love to tell jokes and keep the spirits high. I think I’ve brought some positive energy to this team.Miller is entertaining. He tells reporters he won’t share all of his dreams, “because you might think I’m a sicko’' but assures they are about having success.
After Los Angeles made the trade for Miller on Nov. 1, Cincinnati’s Zac Taylor texted Rams coach Sean McVay to tell him it was a great pick-up. Miller has 115.5 sacks for his career. He’s been a first team All-Pro three times and was named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2010s. He commands respect in the LA locker room.
