Several structures were threatened by the blaze, and the county Sheriff’s Department issued evacuations orders for residents in homes along San Vicente Road near the Barnett Ranch County Preserve. Evacuation warnings were also issued for homesA temporary evacuation center was set up at Olive Pierce Middle School on Hanson Lane. Sheriff’s officials advised residents headed to the school to go north on San Vicente or south on Barona Road.
