Dry, pleasant conditions will prevail from Tuesday through at least Friday, forecasters say.
Though the rain is slowing the morning commute and multiple crashes have been reported across the state, it should move out by early this afternoon in South Jersey and by late this afternoon in northern areas, the“Showers and zones of steady rain will continue to spread across the mid-Atlantic region through Monday morning, posing a risk for the early morning commute,”National Weather Service
There are no watches or warnings and the weather service made no mention of potential flooding or gusty winds in its Monday morning forecast discussion. Highs will reach the low 70s Monday afternoon — slightly below normal for this time of year — before dipping into the 50s overnight into Tuesday. The rest of the week looks to be dry, sunny and pleasant with high pressure settling over New Jersey. Forecasters are calling for temperatures in the 70s through at least Friday.Hurricane Lee has dissipated after bringing soaking rain and strong winds to eastern New England over the weekend.
