Major disruption and cancelled services are expected for the whole of today
Rail passengers heading in and out of London Euston have been warned of disruption on Wednesday after a number of major incidents.
The damage means no trains can currently serve platforms 1-7 at the major London terminus. A points failure near Wembley Central is adding to the disruption with Network Rail warning that lines are currently blocked.Passengers are being advised to check www.nationalrail.co.uk with major disruption and cancelled services expected for the whole of today.
The London Northwestern Railway route between Crewe, Birmingham New Street, Northampton, Bletchley, Tring and London Euston also faces disruption as does the London Overground between Watford Junction and London Euston. “Our team of engineers is working hard to fix the wires and restore power so we can get a full service back up and running as soon as possible. But when wires are damaged like this it can mean a complex and lengthy repair. For that reason I’d urge people to check www.nationalrail.co.uk before they set off on their journey as unfortunately disruption is expected all day.”
