There, they learned about the design of the new stations and trains and met with staff who have been key to the Crossrail project, as well as with those who will be running the railway in person and behind the scenes.The queen also unveiled a plaque to mark the line’s official opening and purchased the first ticket using a commemorative Elizabeth Line Oyster card.
