Photographer Kai Nguyen is documenting her life inside a quarantine center in Vietnam — after she had to abruptly return from studying abroad at Syracuse University. 'This abrupt separation from people who I've known and loved for years breaks my heart.'

The night we arrived, our room had pillows, blankets, mosquito nets, hand soap, and toilet paper. The next morning, we got cups, small towels, shampoo and body wash, slippers and clothes hangers. Vietnam has set up quarantine centers for citizens returning from other countries. Face masks and meals are offered free of charge.
