The Hellers, a family of six from Maple Valley, Washington, perfectly re-created Journey's 1983 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)' video shot for shot around their home. They dubbed the lip-sync extravaganza the 2020 'Heller Quarantine Edition.'
"It was all my wife’s idea," Heller tells USA TODAY."She was trying to find a way to stave off the boredom so she decided, 'Why not make a music video?'"
"She likes Journey, first of all," says Heller."And after watching a number of music videos, it was like, 'We could re-create this video with our kids around the house.'"It took extensive shot planning and a Saturday to shoot on Heller's iPhone. Dad worked the pained expressions of lead singer Steve Perry while Mom, among other roles, turned over a storage bin to bang out the drums Steve Smith-style.
"She has the most attitude of all the kids. She practiced that walk and that fierce look. She was made for that role," says Heller.
