A Purdue police officer is on leave after a controversial arrest of Black student Adonis Tuggle, whose Chicago lawyer said he felt like George Floyd.

Adonis Tuggle is being represented by a Chicago civil rights attorney Andrew M. Stroth. The student's parents live in the Chicaga area.

The arrest video, recorded by Tuggle's girlfriend, shows the student on the ground with a campus police officer on top of him. Tuggle's girlfriend, who doesn't want to be identified, tries to intervene. The woman demands the male officer take his elbow off Tuggle's neck. The officer, whose name has not been released, responds,"Touch me again and I will tase you."Police said last Friday they responded to a call of a woman possibly being held against her will.
