To avoid total chaos, only a handful of pooches are introduced to the turf at a time. Team Ruff’s Ellington, a Siberian husky chow-chow mix, brought Team Ruff back up with their first touchdown — only to be thwarted by another touchdown from Team Fluff, this time from Chorizo, a dachshund and American Staffordshire terrier mix, at the end of the first quarter.Bright Road ProductionsMoby, a French bulldog, then swooped in with a field goal for Team Ruff.
Kirby scored a clutch touchdown for team Fluff in the second quarter. While he lives with a volunteer puppy-raiser, he regularly attends home games and trains in the NRG stadium to be the best, well-socialized pup around.Things got a little rough between Fluff’s Baxter and Ruff’s Ted D. Bear — who got a penaltyfumbled before going on to score a TD at the end of the first half.
After an impressive series of rolls down the field, little Chorizo brought the score for Team Fluff to an impressive 59-48. But leave it to beagle/chow chow mix Odell Barkham to be the comeback pup for Ruff, bringing the score nail-bitingly close for paws everywhere.
