And sometimes it surprises students, I think, to hear that they have a lot of rights and flexibility around how they speak out, how they're heard in their school population.... They have a lot of flexibility in being heard. And then I think the other thing that young people can do is leverage the tools that you have to build community.

And for that reason we really have to stand together and mobilize to create a world that we can be proud of and one that reflects our values.What's your advice for young people who are taking action and first getting involved?__First of all, don't be discouraged, because it can be very discouraging.
