Four young boys died last December when they fell through ice into a lake
People across Northamptonshire have vented their anger and frustration after people were seen walking and playing on frozen lakes, ponds and rivers across the county over the weekend.
But despite the cautionary story and repeated public warnings, people across the UK have been seen playing on ice over the weekend as the UK is gripped by sub-zero temperatures. Northamptonshire was no different, with many responding to Northant's Police's statement. Others said they saw whole families on the ice in Sywell Country Park, near Wellingborough. "Children standing on the ice holding parents hands," one commented. "Ridiculous!!! What messages are they sending to their children."
