The mock hunting permit calling for the murder of refugees was one of around a dozen extremist materials found on the university grounds.

:"I was very upset when I found this sticker because it is advocating for the lynching of people of a particular nationality. I then checked the other light posts nearby to see if there were more stickers and I found 10-14 more and took them all down. I called security and they sent someone and I gave him all the ones I had on me at the time, but I had found a few more after he left on my way back to my room.

Another sticker contained the letter RWDS, a common extremist acronym which stands for Right Wing Death Squad."We need to stand up for our neighbors regardless of their country of origin and not allow hate groups to intimidate community members," Williams said. Deputy Chief Melissa Overton, of the University of Michigan's Division of Public Safety and Security, confirmed that a number of stickers were found around West Hall on campus on September 12, which were removed by the complainant.

Overton said any student who finds similar material on campus should contact the DPSS Dispatch at 763-1131. The far-right sticker linked calling for the deaths of Afghan refugees was found by a University of Michigan student one day after the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks
