A Justice Department prosecutor in the Roger Stone case will testify about pressure to 'cut Stone a break' because of his ties with President Trump, according to prepared remarks
The prosecutor, Aaron Zelinsky, said the U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. was “receiving heavy pressure from the highest levels” of the department to “cut Stone a break.” In an episode that roiled the agency, senior officials earlier this year ordered prosecutors.
