The problem isn’t purely a technical issue as human error plays a role, he added. The issue of private health records being mistakenly faxed to an unintended recipient has been a problem since at least 2010. “I think the key steps in solving this puzzle is to actually start engaging with the users and actually getting an understanding of what it is that they need,” said Brennen Schmidt, who has co-authored a book on cyber security, on Tuesday.Article content

“Because in a lot of cases, if you go straight to to fix an issue, that likely won’t be as good as actually engaging fully with your users to say ‘what do you actually need access to,’ ” Schmidt added.
