Princess Anne is still recovering after being hospitalized with a concussion for what we have now learned was an incident related to a horse.The Princess Royal, 73, has canceled some engagements that had been scheduled for next week, including a trip to Scotland to visit the NLV Pharos, a lighthouse tender; and a trip to Norfolk, in eastern England, where she was expected to visit Brancaster Station in her role as the royal patron of the National Coastwatch Institution, U.K.
The palace added that Anne was being cared for at Southmead Hospital, in Bristol, “as a precautionary measure for observation.” The statement said she was “expected to make a full and swift recovery.”A couple of days later, Anne’s husband, Timothy Laurence, shared an update on her health with a well-wisher after visiting her at the hospital. “She is recovering well, thank you,” he said, per the palace.
