The book brought a new round of attacks on the Royal Family - with criticism directed towards William and Queen Consort Camilla – as well as King Charles and Kate Middleton. The source added "there has been a massive breach of trust" after Harry "leaked" certain stories about the Royal Family.Tensions have been growing between the two royal brothers since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito in California.
In an interview to promote the book, Harry claimed: "What was different here was this level of frustration, and talk about the 'red mist' that I had for so many years – and I saw this 'red mist' in him.In his book, Harry also claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales encouraged him to wear his infamous Nazi uniform to a 2005 fancy dress party.
