The Prime Minister has been moved to intensive care after testing positive for coronavirus
, the Duke of Cambridge signed off a personal note with his initial on behalf of himself and wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - something neither royal often does.
'Since Sunday evening, the Prime Minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas' Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus. 'The prime minister has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary. The prime minister is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication.
Our thoughts are with the Prime Minister and his family, who like so many in the UK and around the world are affected by coronavirus. We wish him a speedy recovery at this difficult time. WQueen Elizabeth has also shared well wishes with Boris Johnson's family, and with his fiancé Carrie Symonds, who is pregnant with the couple's first child.
