The Prince and Princess of Wales carried out their first official engagement to Falmouth as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on Thursday
Last modified on Feb 09, 2023 15:31 GMT Danielle Stacey The Prince and Princess of Wales carried out their first joint official visit to Cornwall, since taking on the titles of The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
Highlights from the day include Kate's reunion with one of her former teachers, and William and Kate joining in with a parent and baby music session. Ahead of their visit, Kensington Palace said:"The Duke and Duchess will learn about Cornwall’s maritime heritage before visiting a local community centre which is going the extra mile to give opportunities to individuals while building a supportive and cohesive community.
The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is located in Discovery Quay and is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, having been established in 2003. Kate had a go at racing model boats with children at the museum. It comes after the Princess showed off her strength during a tyre pulling exercise during her meeting with Captain Preet Chandi, who completed a solo expedition across Antarctica.
