Prince George and Charlotte prove Meghan Markle's claims wrong with sweet display
Prince George and Princess Charlotte proved their aunt Meghan Markle's claims about the royal family's formality wrong on Thursday evening, as they put on a tactile display with family members at Kate Middleton's second Together at Christmas Concert.
The senior royals' warm displays of affection for each other dispel Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle's claims that there is "formality" in the family when it comes to affection, suggesting that they find hugging "jarring". "I was a hugger. I've always been a hugger, I didn't realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.
Prince Harry and Meghan also discussed Meghan's first meeting with the Queen, in a scene which attracted criticism, as Meghan appeared to make a joke of curtseying to the late Monarch in an exaggerated impression.
