The Prada x Blossoms Shanghai capsule collection will be available for a limited time and by appointment at Prada Rong Zhai in Shanghai.
Shanghai, the show is a coming-of-age story about ambitious entrepreneurs at a time of economic prosperity. Complete with lavish set designs and shot through a nostalgic filter, the series quickly became a cultural phenomenon for its cinematic quality and the use of the Shanghainese dialect.The Prada x Blossoms Shanghai collection is mainly a celebration of the wardrobe of Lingzi, one of the three female protagonists in the TV series.
The capsule recreated several signature ooks featured prominently on screen, including a chemisier dress with tie-dye prints from the brand’s women’s spring 2004 collection, a fluffy orange mohair coat, a green crinkled wool ensemble and a laminated wool cardigan in camel from the brand’s women’s fall 2007 collection.
To celebrate the collaboration, Prada held a cocktail reception on Wednesday night at Prada Rong Zhai, the Italian luxury fashion brand’s restored mansion in downtown Shanghai. The event was attended by the likes of Ma and, also took on an impactful role in “Blossoms Shanghai.” To add an element of surprise and create an immersive experience, “Blossoms Shanghai” set designers recreated scenes from the show, using mostly props from the set, to display the collection.Meet Daniel Julez J.
