After receiving a reponse of “really good,” he seemed surprised. “Really?” Then, after a second of thinking in silence, he grinned, looking content as ever: “Me too.” stop. Before the show took place, staff members walked around with buckets of beer and encouraged guests to drink up.
A big highlight of the night was when Malone exclusively debuted his new song “Circles,” which he confirmed will be released next week. “I get to perform for the first fucking time, a song off the new album,” he announced. “It’s a little fucking different, it’s got a fucking fat groove, and I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!” And he wasn’t lying -- the song, backed by sunny acoustic guitars, swirling percussion and infectious melodies, did indeed have a fat groove.
“It feels so good to just come out and sing songs for you. My life has been so stressful lately, but it’s so good to be in this environment,” Malone said at the end of the show, clearly in his divey, guitar-filled element. “There’s no hating, no bullshit -- just love. From the bottom of my fucking heart, we love you more than you could possibly know,” he continued.
