The driver of a rare 911 GT2 RS was attempting to overtake a large truck. After hitting a curb, the car slammed into the side of the semi and skidded on a patch of grass. Porsche 911 models have been involved in several high-profile crashes in recent months. A rare Porsche 911 GT2 RS met a tragic end in Melbourne, Australia , following a reckless crash. The incident was captured on a widely circulated dashcam video.
It then slides across a grassy area before coming to a stop. Just seconds after the crash, a BMW X5 police car comes into view and pulls up alongside the wrecked 911 and the damaged truck. A photo shared online reveals the extent of the damage done to the car. The front quarter panel of the GT2 RS has been torn to shreds, and the wheel also looks damaged. One of the wing mirrors has been ripped off, the side skirt is damaged, and a side air intake is missing.
