'Keep your eyes peeled'

Maggie Mays, known for serving "homemade traditional Irish food", has suggested the opening of a fourth cafe after sharing a picture on social media of an empty retail unit.

With cafes on Botanic, the Malone Road and Castle Street in the city centre, Maggies has told their customers to "keep your eyes peeled".In a Facebook post, they said: "Watch this space.A much-beloved lunch spot for students due to their South Belfast locations' proximity to the student area of the city and Queen's University, Maggie Mays has become known as the place to be for a hangover fry.

Many eagle-eyed customers have taken to the comments to suggest they have figured out the location of this new venture - staying true to the area they already know they will get the custom. They have guessed that the unit in the picture is a former chip shop on University Road, a short walk away from Queen's University and the new Students' Union Building on Elmwood Avenue. For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here.
