Pope Francis will bring a group of world-famous comedians to the Vatican, including Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Chris Rock, and Whoopi Goldberg.
Other comedians from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Italy will be in attendance.
The event is being organized by the Vatican’s Dicastery for Culture and Education and Dicastery for Communication. The pope will host more than 100 entertainers in the Apostolic Palace in the hope of creating “a moment of meaningful intercultural dialogue and sharing of joy and hope.
