The family restaurant chain is taking its last shipments of the sweet cross between blackberries and raspberries.
Fresh strawberry pie is on sale for $23.49 and typically available all summer. Other fruit and berry pies follow the harvest calendar, which has been pushed up about two weeks due to heat in Central California that speeded up ripening, according to representatives of the Placenta-based chain.. It should be available for a few more days. Polly’s is expecting to get its last shipment around the Fourth of July.
Polly’s summer menu is also in full swing. Highlights include a Pancake Flight for $10.99 with Strawberry Shortcake, Cappuccino and Banoffee flavors. Banoffee is banana and caramel with toffee bits and chocolate shavings. For Fourth of July, double crust apple pies are decorated with stars. And the chain is taking orders for “Pie for the People,” pies donated to military, veterans and first responders.
