A man was airlifted to Edmonton after an RCMP\u002Dinvolved shooting at a hospital in Vermilion.

Mounties in that central Alberta town responded to a call from EMS for help with an agitated male “having a panic attack” shortly after 3 p.m. March 1. The man was airlifted by STARS ambulance to a hospital in Edmonton. No officers were injured. The RCMP launched an internal review, Alberta’s Serious Incident Response Team is investigating.
