IMPD said officers shot and injured an armed man Saturday who had been sleeping in a car. A caller had told police a suspicious car was in a driveway on the 3600 block of Oxford Street on the city's eastside.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers shot and injured an armed man Saturday who had been sleeping in a car.
Police knocked on the window and announced, “Police. Hands up," according to the news release. Three officers then fired their guns at the man, injuring him, and provided medical aid until paramedics arrived, IMPD said. The news release does not say what prompted the officers to fire.
