Police were searching for a man wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman on Wednesday afternoon in Millville, authorities said.
The woman, 35-year-old Ramy Garcia, was found suffering from a gunshot wound on the 400 block of North 4th Street at 4:24 p.m., according to a statement from the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. Garcia later died from her injuries. Edwin D. Ramos-Rosado was charged with murder and other offenses in the slaying, but as of 11:30 p.m., he remained at large, the office said. His relationship to Garcia was not divulged by the office.
Ramos-Rosado, who was considered armed and dangerous, was last seen traveling in a silver Mercedes with a New Jersey registration number of M71PTX, investigators said. Anyone with information on Ramos-Rosado’s whereabouts or the homicide was asked to contact Millville Police Detective Cody Miller at 856-825-7010 or Detective Paul Panchesine of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at 856-332-6233.
