Police say the man was identified as a missing Maryland person after his body was discovered on the lot of a Far West Side towing service
Columbus police Wednesday identified the man discovered dead Tuesday at a Far West Side towing business as a missing person out of Maryland.
Hajid Jordan, 44 was discovered around 1:25 p.m. Tuesday on the lot of Woody's Towing Service, located at 606 Hilliard Rome Road, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Columbus police. His body was found inside a car at the towing business parking lot.. Police said they were looking on the towing services lot for a person who had been reported to have been missing for a week, which is fenced in on Hilliard Rome Road and requires entrance from Manor Park Drive. Detectives who were searching found the man's body.
Police did not say where on the lot the body was discovered or how long it appeared Jordan's body was in the lot. Because of visible injuries to the man, police said homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were called to the scene. Police said Wednesday that detectives were continuing to investigate.
