SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after being stabbed in the chest by his girlfriend after a physical altercation in Balcones Heights, San Antonio police said.

Officers with the Balcones Heights Police Department responded to a call for an assault in progress about 4:30 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Babcock Road, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Upon arrival, the Balcones Heights officers found a 22-year-old woman who told them she stabbed her 26-year-old boyfriend once in the torso with a knife after an “argument and a physical encounter with her boyfriend,” SAPD said.SAPD, which shares jurisdiction over the apartment complex with Balcones Heights PD, has taken control of the case, SAPD [email protected]
