Police have arrested a 46-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend in a southeast Houston shooting that he casted as an act of self-defense, authorities said.
Ernesto Pacheco was charged Tuesday with murder in the death of 31-year-old Amber Larson, who police found shot multiple times around 3:30 a.m. Monday in a bedroom at his apartment in the 6100 block of the Gulf Freeway frontage road, according to court documents.The defendant shot and killed Larson “after learning her friend ‘Felix’ had stolen property” from him, prosecutors wrote in court documents.and that he shot her.
Pacheco, who has no known criminal history in Harris County, is slated on Wednesday to appear in court. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
