West Midlands Police confirmed today they are taking allegations of blackmail occurring in their area 'very seriously'.
Police have said that they are looking into "an allegation of blackmail" and taking matters "very seriously" after reports claimed that Alison Hammond was forced to hand over thousands.
Following previous reports that Alison was being blackmailed, co-starts of the presenter, 48, took to social media today to show their support for the mum-of-one, writes the Mirror. It comes after an insider told The Sun that someone who Alison believed to be a friend allegedly said that he would 'tell lies' which would 'end her career' unless the presenter hands over thousands
The source claimed that Alison said: "Out of the blue he said he could tell lies to make people think less of me, it was alarming."
