Police investigating fatal shooting in National City [Breaking]
A man was fatally shot Saturday evening near a National City park and police are asking witnesses to come forward with information, officials said.National City Lt. Derek Aydelotte told OnScene TV that three officers arrived to find a man lying on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Investigators are “in desperate need” of witnesses who may have seen or heard anything in the area, Aydelotte said. Those with any information were aske to contact the National Police Department.This story was updated with additional information from National City police.
