PSP is asking residents to lock their doors and windows and to be cautious when interacting with unknown people at their residence.
On Wednesday afternoon, just after 1 p.m., state police in Gettysburg, Adams County, responded to a home on the 1300 block of Center Mills Road in Menhallen Township for a reported burglary.A 79-year-old female said that during the overnight hours of Monday night into Tuesday morning, an unknown person broke into the woman's residence after she answered a knock at the door.Evidence showed that the suspect searched through some of the woman's property.
The woman was transported to Gettysburg Hospital for medical treatment and discharged without serious injury.This investigation is ongoing.Pennsylvania State Police is reminding residents to be vigilant with locking of doors and windows and to be cautious when interacting with unknown persons at their residence.
