Police ID man accused of shooting father, killing toddler by leaving him locked in hot car

The boy's father was shot and killed hours earlier.A suspect has been identified and charged with the death of 38-year-old father Michael Essien and his 2-year-old son.
Bolanle Fadairo, 38, is accused of shooting Essien with a firearm and then leaving Essien’s son restrained and locked in a vehicle, with the windows rolled up and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, court documents state.Essien was shot outside a supermarket Tuesday afternoon in the 5500 block of El Camino Del Rey. His SUV then was stolen and his 2-year-old son was found dead in the vehicle in southwest Houston. Police believe the child died from heat exhaustion.
Police believe the father and the suspect met in the parking lot and got into an argument before the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him. After, Fadairo got in Essien's car and fled. Fadairo has also been charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence for deleting a text message, knowing an investigation was underway, court documents state.
