Two living animals, a toy poodle puppy and blue macaw parrot, were turned over to the Warren County Humane Society due to poor living conditions.
, troopers were called to a residence on Tidioute Enterprise Road in Southwest Township for the check, where they found the resident in what they called “deplorable conditions” without heat or running water.
Police reportedly discovered a dead goat carcass in an enclosed porch of the residence, as well as a living toy poodle puppy and blue macaw parrot. The puppy and parrot were turned over to the Warren County Humane Society due to poor living conditions. When police spotted a possible second goat carcass, they were denied a search of the property. They later returned with a search warrant, which is when they discovered the remains of 13 dead animals.
State police said the situation is under investigation and pending a review by the county’s district attorney’s office, Erie News Now reports. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
