Police have thanked the public for their help
The police have caught a wanted man after members of the public jokingly told them to look for him in Greggs.
Preston Police updated its followers on the news of Aver, stating he had been found and has now been arrested. He has links to Preston and Cumbria, but was eventually tracked down in Merseyside.In the social media post, the police also joked that people should "stay tuned for more groundbreaking wanted appeals courtesy of Chorley and South Ribble Task Force.
Another took a dislike to his outfit and commented: "The fashion police may have him. That jumper is a crime in itself."
