Polaris recalls select snowmachines due to risk of fire

Polaris is recalling select models of snowmachines manufactured during the last couple years due to the risk of fire associated with a problem that could cause the brake system to overheat.

When the riders on the Matryx RMK Khaos and PRO models manufactured in 2022 and 2023 use the throttle and brake simultaneously, the brake system can overheat, which poses the risk of fire or burn injuries, according to thePeople who own those models were advised by the safety commission to stop using them and contact Polaris or an authorized dealer to schedule a free repair. Polaris is notifying all dealers and registered owners directly, according to the commission.

The recall comes months after Polaris told snowmachine owners last year to stop riding a number of popular models produced during the last decade
