The Point Loma Nazarene baseball team earned the No. 1 seed Sunday night in the West Region of the 56-team NCAA Division II Regionals.

Point Loma Nazarene plays the Pomona-San Marcos loser in the second game. The Sea Lions enter the regionals having won 22 of their past 25 games. Pomona and Cal State San Marcos both represent the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

This is San Marcos' first postseason appearance as a member of the CCAA. and San Marcos have not met since 2015. The Sea Lions earned an automatic berth to the postseason on Friday when they defeated Concordia twice to win the PacWest tournament. The winner of West Regional #1 plays the winner of West Regional #2, which includes Cal State Monterey Bay, Northwest Nazarene and San Francisco State, in the best-of-three Super Regionals. The eight Super Regionals winners meet for the Division II national championship.
