Boston Pride and Toronto Six split weekend series and finish 1-2 heading into PHF semifinals, which they’ll host starting this week.

But while Gabel and Giguère have played leading roles for the Pride, they were left off Canada’s roster for“It’s obviously disappointing, and that was a goal of mine,” said the 25-year-old Gabel, the PHF’s leading scorer. “After being on the team in 2019, I thought I had a good performance there, but things went downhill. But just going out now, every shift, proving people wrong … and having fun and being confident.

“This season, I couldn’t have done what I did without my teammates and coaching staff and supporting staff,” Gabel said. “At the end of the day is what it is and you take it and move on.”
