Just because the starters aren’t playing doesn’t mean there isn’t great intrigue within the Seahawks roster.
After a brief cameo from the defensive starters and some of the first-team offensive players last week, it’ll be all about the backups for the Seattle Seahawks in their Week 2 preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. There are still roster spots to be won and depth chart hierarchy at stake, which is the general theme for this article’s theme.
After allowing just one pressure in 20 pass-blocking snaps, I’d say he’s earned more opportunities to really tip the scales in his favor. Laumea played well in the de facto third-team snaps against the Chargers. What’s more intriguing to me is to see him exclusively at left guard when he was almost exclusively a right guard or right tackle at Utah. I’m not saying Laumea should be the starting left guard off of third-team reps, but he may have a path on the team as a backup to Laken Tomlinson.
