A medical board concluded Katharine Grawe harmed patients as she live streamed operations and spoke into a camera while conducting surgeries
The Ohio Medical Board revoked Dr. Katharine Grawe’s licence after she broadcast cosmetic operations on the social media app. It voted to ban Grawe from ever practicing again in the state.Grawe was also known as “Dr. Roxy” at her practice “Roxy Plastic Surgery” and to her many TikTok followers.Grawe originally had her licence suspended in November and had not been allowed to practise since then.
The board said she neglected her patients as she live streamed parts of their procedures, spoke into a camera and answered viewer questions, all while the surgeries were taking place.Article content According to the medical board, three patients suffered severe complications and needed medical care after they were operated on.
A third suffered an infection after breast augmentation surgery, and then had to have the implants removed.
