New plans have been put forward
A Nottingham car park surrounded by historic buildings could be turned into flats. The car park at the back of St James' Street in the city centre could be turned into 11 apartments if Nottingham City Council approves the fresh proposals.
The site sits within the Castle Conservation Area, where there are 50 listed buildings, including several located adjacent to the proposed development site. Due to its location, an archaeological assessment is likely to be required, according to the site's prospective developers. The project's applicants said the block would fit in with its immediate surroundings.
