The fire was first reported Aug. 13 by the Bureau of Land Management. The fire is burning on land managed by the agency. It was originally about two acres when first reported. Air resources were used on the fire, the agency reported Monday, but weather conditions restricted their ability to fly. As of Monday, crews were preparing areas around the fire to find opportunities to try to suppress the fire.
