How did Carrie Stewart become a pagan? She believes her journey there began when she was a child growing up in Trenton.| SaltWire

Carrie Stewart is a founding member of the Pictou County Pagan Society. - Sarah JordanShe believes her journey there began when she was a child growing up in Trenton.Stewart decided to investigate for herself, despite the other children warning her to stay away. After hearing what this woman had to say Stewart went to the Trenton Library and started reading everything she could about Paganism.

The Pictou County Pagan Society is working on becoming a non-profit organization, to be able to host bigger and better events for its members. The goal is to create a comforting and inviting space where people with similar interests can make connections. Pictou County Pagan Society is hosting several workshops for likeminded spiritual seeking individuals in the coming weeks. The next workshop “Creating Sacred Spaces” will take place on March 4, at the Art of Divination Gift Shop and on April 29 they will host a Beltane Dance at Shaun’s in downtown.

“We wanted to start at the very beginning” Stewart said about the workshops. “Right now, the biggest thing is misinformation. We want good accurate information out there.”
